Why I Became a Mortgage Broker

I originally pursued Chartered Accounting at UBC because I loved working with numbers. But I quickly realized something was missing, I didn't just want to work with numbers, I wanted to work with people. Mortgages became the perfect combination of both, giving me the chance to use strategy and financial planning to help people through one of the biggest decisions of their lives, while building real relationships in the community I call home.

My Philosophy

The best mortgage isn't always the one with the lowest rate. It's the one that fits your life today while setting you up for tomorrow. That's why every conversation starts with one simple question: why. Why are you buying? Why are you moving? What are your long-term goals? What keeps you up at night financially? Only after understanding the person behind the mortgage do I start recommending solutions, because mortgages should be built around people, not the other way around.

Whether you're working directly with me or with Lauren, you'll get the same approach: real answers, straightforward numbers, and every option explained clearly, never just handed to you to sign. There are no rushed conversations and no silly questions. We turn over every stone together so you can move forward with confidence. Our relationship doesn't end on possession day. Daniel and his team made this entire experience a walk in the park. I’ve never purchased a home and with a hectic work schedule, no clue what I’d end up buying (I changed my mind a LOT) and having no knowledge of home financing, I was pretty overwhelmed at first.
